Printing old Street
PrintME 3D in collaboration with Scandinavian Business Seating (SB Seating) invite you to the Old Street Design Show 2015 on the 19th of November. The all-day event is anticipated to be one of London’s biggest design and innovation gatherings of the year. The Old Street Design Show will house everything ‘creative’ ranging from 3D Printing to Ergonomic Seating!
The show will exhibit a variety of industry leading brands and solutions for 3D Printing, Design Software and Ergonomic Seating. Amongst the brands will be industry giants 3D Systems who are one of the forefathers of the technology, alongside this there will be desktop brands such as Ultimaker, Bq and Makerbot. Aside from 3D Printing there will be Design and Software companies such as Wacom and SpaceClaim.
During the day there will be a variety of interactive stations and workshops for educational institutions and visitors. They will revolve around 3D Printing, Scanning and Design and will give people the opportunity have a hands on experience with the different 3D Technologies on display.

The Design Station will consist of industry leading CAD software SpaceClaim, here you will learn how to transform your ideas in to 3D reality and try the software yourself. The Design Station will give you a feel of how CAD software can be used to innovate your current design processes and making them simpler with the use of SpaceClaim. Whether it is 3D Printing, Engineering Models or Structures that you do design work for, SpaceClaim can cater.

STEM skills are a necessity for the future and the Education Zone will address this. Here a variety of 3D Printing, Design and Scanning workshops will take place. Students will get the opportunity to experience the technology first hand and will be given a ‘crash course’ on the whole 3D Printing process. This is also a great chance for teachers to see 3D Printing can fit into the school and national curriculum.
Aside from all the 3D fun, you will be able to explore how international architecture company Bogle Architects and Digital Fabrication Specialists Mamou-Mani have utilised 3D Printing to great effect in their design processes. From concept models to full scale structures 3D Printing has opened up new avenues for many architecture and design outlets which has boosted productivity and shortened the initial planning stages for time critical projects.

Ever wanted a 3D Printed selfie or curious to know how 3D Scanning can be used for design work? The 3D Scanning Zone will demonstrate how 3D Scanning can be used for variety of purposes ranging from reverse engineering to manipulating scan data to create complex and intricate art pieces.
In the evening there will be talks and presentations from industry professionals who will discuss their work and their experiences with 3D Technologies. Amongst these speakers will be Architecture company Bogle Architects, Arthur Manou-Mani a French architect whom specialises in pop-up digital architecture workshops and Shiu-Kay Kan from SKK Lighting who is renowned for his progressive work with modern technologies.
