Digital Media print
This program meets the needs of individuals who have varied educational and professional backgrounds and who want to foster their creative sensibilities while building industry-specific training. It is designed for those who intend to work in areas requiring both print and web design expertise. This innovative certificate is the first in the region to integrate both print and web design and the only one that may be completed in one year.
The curriculum provides professional-level software skills within the context of contemporary visual communication. Working with page layout, design and composition, illustration, color, text/photo manipulation and interactivity, participants develop leading-edge aesthetic and technical abilities in designing and producing print publications and websites.
Coursework emphasizes hands-on projects aimed at developing cutting-edge technical proficiencies, conveying an individual aesthetic based on principles of good design, and establishing a strong foundation for building a portfolio.
The development of personal vision and innovative problem solving are encouraged along with technical proficiency. Students learn in Moore’s Fox Center for Digital Arts, Design Media & Printing with state-of-the-art equipment and the most current versions of industry-utilized software.
